During 6 months I was part of the editorial staff of the design awarded komma magazine of the “Hochschule Mannheim – Fakultät für Gestaltung”. During that time a team of 11 students of the design Department built a whole concept of the newest magazine edition the komma8.

After I worked already several times for different Carré Rotondes projects, I was asked to take the cover photo for their brochure presenting the new programme of 2011.

During the summer months I was designing a website for a good friend of mine: Marc Laroche, who is a very talented, young luxembourgish photographer. He asked me to design a very simple and clear website, he could use as a portfolio as well as a blog to show his creativity to others.

The aim of the site was to create a portfolio site for the “Luxemburger Wort” photographer Serge Waldbillig who is mostly doing cycling and concertphotography.

As a member of the komma magazine in 2011, we decided to redesign the site and release it together with the magazine komma 8 in april 2011. It was a big challenge and a lot of fun to set up a completly new concept and design. A particularity of the site is that you can order the newest magazine for free over the internet. The magazine was sold out at komma-mannheim.de in only 17 hours.

For my internship inquiry I wanted to create something special, so I decided to create an individual designed portfolio site on the internet. It took me quite some time to develop the concept, but once it was fixed it all went pretty well, the design was set up really quickly and I could start with programming the site in HTML5 and CSS. Despite the fact that until now I always worked with the Content Management System Drupal, I really wanted to try out something different. So I started setting up a WordPress site locally and changed all the things I needed for my portfolio. In the end I just created a subdomain and uploaded the site onto my ftp.

During the interface design course back in 2010 I wanted to create a redesign for my clada.lu, that existed since january 2009 and I thought it would be time for something new. So I started designing and programming but actually never got the time to complete everything and update the old site. So hopefully there will be some changes coming in 2011.

One of our projects during the winter semester of 2010 was to redesign the guidance system for our highschool library in Mannheim. A low budget and minimal flexibility on order and categorization of the books were certainly the most challenging aspects in this venture.

During my first study I have been working on a project for supporting local music talent in Luxembourg. One year later, I met Adam Walder an english journalist from Luxembourg who had quite the same idea as I had some time ago. So we decided to put our brains together and work out a concept that we could set up over the next months. At the moment we are operating on facebook (with almost 2000 members having already joined our group) as well as on our internet site fuze.lu and spread the word as well on our radio show called fuze on a Luxembourgish radio station. This Magazine was designed as a part of my Bachelor Project at the “Hochschule Mannheim”. It was printed by Saint-Paul Luxembourg with a print run of 1000 copies.
